Before You Schedule a Crane.
A few answers that make quoting and planning easier. If your question is job-specific, call or send photos.
What information do you need for a quote?
At minimum: job location, what is being lifted, approximate weight, where it is being picked from and set to, preferred date, and photos of the site. The more information you provide about crane setup and obstacles, the easier it is to evaluate the lift.
Do you work in Cincinnati and Columbus?
Yes. Miami Valley Crane Rental is based in the Dayton area, but we are willing to travel to Cincinnati, Columbus and projects throughout Ohio. Longer-distance work can also be considered depending on the job.
Do you work with homeowners?
Yes. We perform both commercial and residential crane work, including pools, construction, equipment and crane-assisted tree projects.
Do you provide crane service for tree removal?
Yes. We provide crane support for crane-assisted tree work. Cutting, climbing and arborist work should be handled by qualified tree professionals unless separately coordinated. Send photos of the tree, surrounding structures and available crane setup area.
Do you rent the crane without an operator?
No. Miami Valley Crane Rental is owner operated; crane service includes the operator.
Can you tell me if the crane can make my lift from a photo?
Photos help, but capacity depends on more than appearance. Load weight, working radius, boom length, setup, ground conditions and obstacles all matter. Photos are a good starting point, and additional measurements may be requested.
Do you publish hourly rates online?
No. Travel, job duration, lift requirements and setup can vary. Contact us with the job details and we can quote the work appropriately.
Can you help plan the lift?
Yes. Job details can be reviewed in advance, and lift planning is available when the project requires it. For more involved lifts, provide drawings, weights, dimensions, site photos and any known restrictions.
How far in advance should I schedule?
As early as practical, especially for construction schedules or coordinated mechanical work. We also understand that crane needs sometimes come together quickly, so call if you have a near-term job.
What if I am not sure what the load weighs?
Send the manufacturer, model number, drawings, shipping information or clear photos. An accurate load weight is important to lift planning, so it may need to be confirmed before the job.
